Palin cowers from hard questions! “Annie Oakley” is all smoke!
Sep 7th, 2008 | By H. Lukas Green | Category: UncategorizedWhy is Sarah Palin afraid to face questions?
Palin is proving that she is basically all sizzle and no stake! She hit the stratosphere among the rightwing media chatter heads that applauded here rhetoric as she assailed Sen. Barrack Obama for being nothing more than a “community organizer.”
Yet this same mouthpiece for the McCain campaign is nowhere to be found because they realize she will be eaten alive by the media that grills Obama on a 24-hour basis.
Rick Davis, McCain campaign manager, told the GOP propaganda machine known as Fox News that Palin is refusing to speak to the media “until the point in time when she’ll be treated with respect and deference.”
Where is this Annie Oakley of Alaska? Where is this woman that Joe Scarborough nearly wet himself glorifying as a heavy-hitter for McCain?
She is obviously unwilling to face the cameras or throngs of reporters until they all give in to her demands to be nice to her. Gee, this doesn’t sound like the tough lady form the frontier who bashed Democrats only a week ago. This sounds more like the politics of spin and control that Karl Rove was so creative at while hoisting up that miserable failure George W. Bush.
Davis reportedly told GOP media mouthpiece Chris Wallace from FOX that Palin will emerge from her neo-conservative womb when she feels all safe and secure that she controls the message.
Republicans hide Palin from the media!
“When we think it’s time and when she feels comfortable doing it,” Davis said. “She’s not scared to answer questions, but you know what? We run our campaign not the news media.”
Amazing isn’t it? Just totally amazing that Republicans are such cowards that they feel safe in shaping their message of how best to run the government, but will not answer any tough or pointed questions.
Where is Sarah Palin? Why won’t she respond to hard questions? What is she afraid of? Why is the GOP and the McCain campaign trying to control the media? Why can the Republicans get a free ride and attack Obama, but not face one hard question about their message?
The Republicans offered no ideas. They offered no solutions. They were unable to present a plan for America’s future. Instead, they offered up Sarah Palin to give a scripted attack that lacked substance.
Now the American media sits back and takes orders from the McCain campaign that they need to take a hands-off approach to their new celebrity politician.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Times is digging a little deeper into Palin’s political shenanigans soon after being elected as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, in 1996.
No hard questions for Sarah Palin – it’s her way, or no way!
During her campaign she pitched herself as a “Christian” leader and brought in non-issues such as abortion and religion into what is basically a non-partisan election. She got the backing from several bar owners who were at odds with the local chief of police for arresting DUI offenders.
She got the backing from the lunatic fringe in the National Rifle Association who lobbied to let people carry weapons into bars and banks – something clear thinking law enforcement officials and citizens with a functioning brain opposed.
Now that Palin’s so-called “executive experience” is starting to come to the surface, she is taking cover and hiding from hard questions.
This is how she operates. It is her way, or the highway. This is what the Republicans support and defend. This is a greater threat of more failure and more political games that the Republicans have played with skill over the years.
This is why American cannot afford people like Sarah Palin or John McCain – they are detached from reality, but they sure do know how to work their friends in the news media.
McCain and Palin learned well from Karl Rove.
